The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking for a robot mop and vacuum that's mid-range. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.
During testing it was able to handle dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard floors. It does not use LIDAR, however, like cheaper models do, to map your home.
1. IRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and a variety of features, including the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules that will give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is setup you can begin the cleaning automatically with just one button. You can choose a general clean that focuses on the removal of larger debris such as rice and cereal. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that your home is thoroughly cleaned.
This vacuum works well both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some other models and can clean up pet hair without difficulty. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot claims it will get better with the next models.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into the furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common however we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with an advanced filtration system which blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the high price tag.
Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the structure of your home, and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your entire house in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is superior as its spinning pads scrub your floors much more efficiently than the vibrating pads.
The only issue is that it does not have a second rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's a small price to pay if you want one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is larger than many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.
In terms of the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has that are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very low noise, which means you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. It will gently bump into a wall or furniture and then move away whenever it comes across one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical garbage into the hidden bin, as well as washes and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is wrong, such as a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to a full bin.
You can also create or combine rooms to alter the way Q Revo treats your home. That's a handy feature for those who have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or if there's clutter that needs to be cleared out regularly, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, removing debris from both carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you can want. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that can better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.
The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still big. It has a height of more than two feet the height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.
This model is more efficient than the Best self empty robot vacuum X1 since it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris and is easier to empty when required.
The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that works even when you're at home. It also comes with more mopping options and a smart routing feature that allows you to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of just following a specific path.
The Omni X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads that rotate to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure that it does the job well. It has a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that comes with a host of features that you don't often see on robots at this price range. It can create precise floor maps and recognize different types of flooring. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are useful, they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category which could make it a little more expensive than some homeowners require.
Created to look like a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's accented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that acts as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and send it to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This allows the robot to vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles and obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for families with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability that clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, clearing 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile and carpet tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
